Celtic travel to Paisley to face St Mirren this weekend as domestic football returns. After the incredible international break saw Scotland seal their place at the World Cup next summer, focus shifts back to Celtic, who are still led by interim manager Martin O’Neill.

The SFA have confirmed the refereeing appointments for the match with experienced referee Kevin Clancy handed the whistle.

The 41-year-old will be assisted by David Roome and Ross Nelson.

Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Matthew MacDermid is on VAR with Sean Carr assisting.

Clancy took charge of Celtic’s 3-0 win over Livingston earlier this season. Celtic fans will be hoping for a similar scoreline but they will be under no illusions of the challenge that faces Celtic given the robust displays expected from Stephen Robinson’s team.

There’s no update in Celtic’s pursuit of French manager Wilfried Nancy, meaning that the Celtic legend will remain in situ with Shaun Maloney assisting.

Celtic face St Mirren at Hampden next month in the Premier Sports Cup Final with the first piece of silverware of the season up for grabs. The Buddies have sold 10k tickets for the game and it is expected that the Celtic allocation will go on sale next week.
