Allan Saint-Maximin put Lens in front in the 60th minute with a low left-footer from outside the box, and his strike set up a 1-1 draw away to Nice.

The winger's breakthrough came on a fast break, timing his run onto Adrien Thomasson's pass before drilling into the bottom right corner (60.). It rewarded persistent carries between the lines after the restart.

He stayed lively, meeting a Saud Abdulhamid cross with a header that flew just wide (74.). Lens then had to manage the closing stages with ten men after Abdulhamid was sent off (81.), before Les Aiglons levelled from a set piece (84.).

Saint-Maximin finished with six attempts, four touches in the box and 16 successful final third passes, repeatedly dragging defenders out of shape. He also won possession five times, helping Lens reset attacks under pressure.

The display keeps Lens' push on track. They host Nantes next in Ligue 1. Les Aiglons visit Auxerre next.
