“Do I want to manage Liverpool sometime in my life? Of course that’s a dream. But would I be ready right now, to take it on for a longer period of time? Probably not.”

“It depends who it is, how the conversation goes, and does he need me? What does he think I can offer?”

“You’d have to understand it before you sign up to it, what the role is, and it’s to support the manager, it’s to be that assistant.”

“I would do it for Liverpool Football Club if I was asked and they felt that I was the right man to do it, I’d be up for it, of course.”
