Jørgen Strand Larsen is set to sign a new contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers according to reports.
Norwegian outlet VG.no is reporting that Strand Larsen will sign a new deal that does not include a release clause after heavy interest in the 25-year-old over the summer – with Newcastle United said to have bid for the striker.
There are already four years remaining on Strand Larsen's current contract after joining the club from Celta de Vigo, but a new deal indicates he will enjoy improved terms.
Injury has meant that the Wolves man has not featured since his side's 3-2 League Cup win over West Ham United last month, in which the player bagged a brace.
In total, Strand Larsen has played 41 times in all competitions since joining Wolves, scoring 16 times.
