RC Strasbourg Alsace will likely be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer. Djordje Petrovic’s loan spell at the club has come to an end, and whilst the Serbian doesn’t look to have a future at Chelsea, a return to RCSA seemingly isn’t on the cards either.
In the search for a new goalkeeper, Mohamed Toubache-Ter understands that the Alsace club are interested in Toulouse FC’s Guillaume Restes (20). The goalkeeper, currently competing for France’s U21s, has multiple suitors, however.
As reported by L’Équipe earlier this month, the goalkeeper is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga giants view Restes as a long-term target and have admired the Frenchman since his breakthrough. However, a move this summer does not look to be on the cards. They would consider making their move next summer.
But a club that could make a move for Restes this summer is Lille OSC, who may lose their current No.1, Lucas Chevalier, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain. Strasbourg could therefore face some significant competition should they pursue a deal.
