Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg Alsace have reached an agreement with Premier League outfit Southampton FC over a loan move for English prospect Samuel Amo-Ameyaw (18), according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein. The England youth international winger also agreed personal terms with the Alsatians. The outlet understands that Amo-Ameyaw’s loan move to the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 team includes a €7m option to make his move permanent to La Meinau over the next five years.
A Strasbourg medical has reportedly already been undertaken for Amo-Ameyaw. The latter has represented England since U16 level and is currently part of the U19 roster. Amo-Ameyaw became Southampton’s youngest-ever Premier League player at 16 years and 314 days for the final day of the 2022-2023 campaign. Amo-Ameyaw signed a professional contract with the Saints in July 2023. He scored his first senior goal this campaign during a Carabao Cup win against Cardiff City.
