Team determined to make ground

The week is ending with a real highlight. While the weather here in Salzburg turning fine again before the start of autumn, our FC Red Bull Salzburg women are looking to keep spirits high at Saalachspitz. On Sunday, we host the European contenders SK Sturm at 12:00 CEST.

The Graz women saw the end of their continental campaign on Wednesday, however as Ajax proved too high a hurdle in qualifying for the newly created UEFA Women's Europa Cup in a 0-4 aggregate defeat. The 0-2 loss in the return leg also marked their third consecutive competitive defeat, after Sturm had won three of their first four ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga matches. This means the clash at the Red Bull Football Academy will be one between two league neighbours both looking to make amends. After a perfect start to the season, Dusan Pavlovic's team has also lost a little ground, suffering defeats against SKN St. Pölten and First Vienna FC.
