Bayern Munich maintained their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga after beating Stuttgart 5-0 on Saturday at MHPArena.

Harry Kane came off the bench to score his 10th Bundesliga hat-trick as Vincent Kompany’s men picked up all three points.

Vincent Kompany made a few changes to the starting line-up from the previous Bundesliga game, with Nicolas Jackson, Dayot Upamecano, and Leon Goretzka returning.

Jackson nearly gave the visitors an early lead inside three minutes, as he snatched the ball from Ameen Al-Dakhil and raced on to the goal, but he could not test the keeper.

Maximilian Mittelstadt came inches close to providing an equaliser inside ten minutes for Stuttgart, but it went narrowly wide of the target.

Bayern did not have to wait long for the goal. It came through one of their unsung heroes, Konrad Laimer. Urbig played out a long pass to Laimer, who played a nice one-two with Michael Olise and then flicked brilliantly inside the box to give his side the lead.

Stuttgart tried to respond through Nikolas Nartey, who made a fantastic attempt with a left-footed shot from the right side of the box, but couldn’t keep it on target.

Bayern mostly dominated the midfield, and Jackson tried to engineer a curling effort from outside the box, but he was nowhere near the target.

In the 33rd minute, Michael Olise came close to adding another goal. After beating his marker with a lovely bit of skill, he kept his shot on goal with his left foot. Nubul nearly made a costly error, as the ball slipped from his grasp, but did not roll over the line.

Nartey thought he had scored for Stuttgart with a bullet header, but after a VAR check, the goal was ruled out for an offside.

Luis Diaz was unusually quiet in the first half. The Colombian then produced a brilliant skill to get inside the box and produce a cross for Jackson, who did manage a crack at goal, but Nubel thwarted the danger.

Towards the end of the first half, Chema Andreas came very close to scoring for the home side, after a superb work from Nartey, but once again could not find the finishing touch.

After the break, Olise, who was a live wire on the pitch, made a left-footed attempt from the right side of the box, but it went too high.

Raphaël Guerreiro, who was barely involved in the first half, made a left-footed shot from the centre of the box, but it was blocked.

In the 58th minute, Deniz Undav delivered a thunderbolt strike from distance, and it required a special save from Urbig to keep it away.

In the 63rd minute, Bayern squandered a glorious opportunity to make it 2-0. Harry Kane played a superb pass to Olise, who runs towards the goal and passes it in the path of Diaz in a one-on-one scenario, but he couldn’t keep it on target from close range.

Moments later, Harry Kane made it 2-0 by scoring a cracking goal from outside the box with a piledriver. It was his 15th goal of the season in the Bundesliga.

Bayern kept putting pressure, and the goal came through an unlikely scorer, Josip Stanisic. Diaz picked him inside the box, and he hit fiercely straight at goal, and Nubel once again made a mess, and the ball hit the net.

Olise then rushed inside the box, cut inside, made room for himself and tried to curl, but Lorenz Assignon handled the ball and received a red card in the process. Harry Kane stepped up to make it 4-0 from the spot.

Bayern kept on pushing for one more goal, and it came through a brilliant interchange of play between Olise and Harry Kane, who netted yet again to complete his hat-trick.

Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich: Here at CF Bayern Insider, we have rated the players out of 10.

Jonas Urbig – 8

The second-choice goalkeeper came in place of Manuel Neuer, and he hardly made a mistake. Produced a stunning save in the 2nd half to deny Undav.

Tom Bischof – 4

Again, Kompany used him as a left-back while Guerreiro played in the number 10 role. It was not his best performance, and Stanisic replaced him at the break.

Kim Min-jae – 7

The South Korean has made back-to-back starts in the Bundesliga, and his confidence grows. He made three recoveries and seven clearances.

Dayot Upamecano – 7

With every passing week, Bayern are getting more confident that Upamecano will sign a new deal at the club. Another steady performance from him, although he could have done better to prevent Nartey’s header – luckily it was ruled offside.

Konrad Laimer – 8

Laimer is indeed the unsung hero for Bayern this season. The versatile full-back scored a superb flicked goal and was solid defensively too.

Leon Goretzka – 6

The German midfielder wasted another opportunity to remind Kompany why he deserves a new contract. It was a decent performance, and Bayern will not be happy to see him miss the next game after picking up an automatic suspension.

Joshua Kimmich – 7

The pass master produced yet another typical Kimmich performance — that is, loads of ball retention, spraying passes, making interceptions, and producing key passes.

Luis Diaz – 7

The Colombian produced moments of brilliance in bits and pieces, but he will miss the next game due to suspension.

Raphael Gurreiro – 6

The Portuguese was linked with a move away from Bayern last week. Bayern are unlikely to sell him in January, but he failed to make a big impact today.

Michael Olise – 8

Another terrific performance from Olise, and we have run out of superlatives. He grabbed two assists and created a couple of big chances.

Substitute

Josip Stanisic – 7

Harry Kane – 10

Alexander Pavlovic – 7

Lennart Karl – 6
