In a recent report, Spanish news outlet El Pais revealed that Sunderland are showing interest in Osasuna winger Victor Munoz this summer. It has been mentioned that the Black Cats are eyeing a move to sign the Spanish wide player after failing to land him in January.

Munoz’s Impressive Form In La Liga

Munoz has enjoyed a decent run of form at the Spanish club in this campaign as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 22-year-old has scored six goals and earned five assists in 31 matches for Osasuna this season in multiple competitions.

The Spanish talent is currently one of the most gifted wingers in La Liga. Hence, it is no surprise that the Black Cats are eyeing a move to bring him to the Stadium of Light.

His current contract at Osasuna will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for Sunderland to consider in this upcoming transfer period.

Should Sunderland Boss Regis Le Bris Snap Munoz Up?

Munoz is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.

The Spanish talent can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. He is primarily a left-winger but can also fill in as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if required.

We can expect Munoz to bring more quality and depth to Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris’ attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Wearside club in the coming seasons.

At 22, the future looks quite bright for Munoz as long as he continues to improve with each season. Hence, the Black Cats would be wise to go all out to snap him up in the summer transfer window. However, Le Bris has to give the talented winger some time to adjust to life in the Premier League before he can get the best out of the player.
