Sunderland ease past Burnley to maintain unbeaten home record | OneFootball

Sunderland maintained their unbeaten record at the Stadium of Light with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Burnley on Monday night.

The hosts took the lead in the ninth minute when Habib Diarra’s shot deflected off Axel Tuanzebe and beat goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka.

The second goal arrived with 32 minutes on the clock after the Black Cats worked the ball across the pitch in a slick team move, with Diarra once again involved, racing down the right before curling a low shot past Dúbravka into the bottom corner.

Régis Le Bris' side kept dominating in the second half and the hosts sealed the win in the 72nd minute. Chemsdine Talbi collected the ball around 20 yards out, cut inside onto his stronger foot, and curled a stunning strike into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. 

The win moves Sunderland up the table to eighth while Burnley remain 19th, now 15 league games without a win.
