Sunderland have detailed how ticket ballots will work as a three-tier membership went on sale at 10am on Tuesday.

The club said in a Q&A that Season Ticket Plus, for existing season-ticket holders, includes access to away ballots plus bonus content and events. Black Cats Adult, for non-holders, offers extra content and events, a season-ticket waiting list place and entry to home ballots, while Black Cats Academy does the same for children.

Europa League home access for season-ticket holders is unchanged and not linked to membership, with the usual cup priority window to secure seats.

Home tickets will first be allocated via ballot to Black Cats Adult and Academy members. Any remaining seats will then go on general sale to non-members.

Ballot entrants will indicate preferred areas or select no preference, and successful applicants will be allocated seats accordingly. Reservations must be completed to finalise purchase.

One membership equals one ticket, and linked accounts can apply as a group to sit together if space allows. If adjacent seats are not available, applicants can choose whether to proceed. U16 accounts must be linked to an adult, and seats can be moved so the child sits alongside them.

The Black Cat Points scheme continues. Around 90% of general admission away tickets will be released in Phases 1 and 2, with the remaining 10% run via a ballot depending on the fixture. Any tickets left after those stages and the ballot will go to Phase 3 for Black Cat Points holders.
