Sunderland set out ticket ballots as new membership goes on sale | OneFootball

Sunderland have outlined how ticket ballots will work as the club’s new membership went on sale at 10am on Tuesday.

Three tiers are available: Season Ticket Plus for existing season ticket holders with access to an away-ticket ballot, Black Cats Adult for non-holders with a home-ticket ballot and season-ticket waiting list access, and Black Cats Academy for children. The club said in a Q&A that season-ticket perks are unchanged and Europa League home sales remain separate with the usual priority window.

Home tickets will be balloted first to Black Cats Adult and Academy members. Any remaining seats will go to general sale for non-members, which may be rare given last season’s demand.

Supporters opting into a ballot can list preferred areas or choose no preference. A seat is allocated in line with that choice, then checkout must be completed to secure it.

One membership equals one ticket. Groups must all be members, can link accounts and apply together, and can decide whether to proceed if adjacent seats are not available. Under-16 accounts must be linked to an adult member, and if they are not seated together you can contact the club to arrange a move before the game.

For away matches, Black Cat Points continues, with 90% of general admission released in Phases 1 and 2, and the remaining 10% run by a parallel ballot depending on the fixture. Any seats left then go to Phase 3 for Black Cat Points holders.
