Sunderland’s Europa League bow backed by 366 European appearances | OneFootball

Sunderland are gearing up for only the second European campaign in their history, and their first Europa League appearance, with significant experience already in the squad. They will share the stage with AC Milan, Juventus and Marseille next season.

Sunderland Echo notes that 13 players have a combined 366 appearances across the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, covering qualifying, group and knockout rounds, while nine team-mates have none.

Regis Le Bris’ side exceeded expectations in their first season back in the Premier League, finishing seventh to secure European football.

Among those with European know-how, Wilson Isidor has three outings, two in the Europa League and one in Champions League qualifying. Trai Hume has five, one in Champions League qualifying and four in Conference League qualifying.

Melker Ellborg has seven appearances, five in the Europa League and two in Champions League qualifying, while Enzo Le Fee has nine, all in the Europa League.
