Nicolás Tagliafico is Lyon’s only player through to the 2026 World Cup final, despite a stop-start season at club level.

Le Progres notes that the Argentine left-back endured a chaotic 2025-2026 with Lyon, slipping in form and discipline. The 33-year-old received a three-match ban in March for a dangerous tackle on Monaco’s Lamine Camara, then lost his place during the run-in.
