Liverpool star Mohamed Salah reportedly looks increasingly likely to finalise a transfer to a Saudi Pro League club this summer.
The Egypt international recently announced he’d be leaving Liverpool at the end of this season, and it seems Saudi officials are confident of landing their man at last.
That’s according to a report from TEAMtalk, which states that new talks have taken place in recent weeks to push ahead with a deal for Salah.
This report adds that a lot of these terms were more or less already agreed when efforts were first made to bring Salah to Saudi Arabia a year ago.
As we recently reported, Salah is likely to have several different options this summer as he prepares to bring an end to his remarkable career at Anfield.
We’ve been informed that a Saudi club is one option, but that the 33-year-old could also move to the MLS, where San Diego FC are one of his biggest suitors.
There’s no denying, however, that the interest from Saudi is very strong and has been there for some time, so it makes sense that we’re seeing more transfer rumours about that now as we get closer to the summer.
Our information is also that LFC are working overtime to find an ideal replacement for Salah, with Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise considered the dream target, albeit a slightly unrealistic one.
RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande will be another name to watch, but of course it’s not going to be easy for any player to replace a club legend like Salah.
The former Roma man boasts a stunning 255 goals in 435 games for Liverpool, and has helped them win two Premier League titles and the Champions League during his nine years on Merseyside.
