Tarik Muharemovic outlines Leeds ambition after joining from Sassuolo | OneFootball

Tarik Muharemovic says Leeds United’s ambitions were made clear as he arrived ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season. The 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina centre-back is the club’s second summer recruit, signed from Sassuolo for £34m on a four-year deal.

Sassuolo returned to Serie A last term as Serie B champions and finished 11th, 10 points behind Atalanta in the final European place. Leeds, promoted as second-tier winners, secured safety with three games remaining to finish 14th.

"Of course. I learned directly what the club's ambitions are and the club told me what the ambitions are. We want to get the club back to where it belongs to." He was speaking to LUTV.

"The best football you can play is in the Premier League. I know how physical it is, how fast a game can go and you never know who is going to win a game."

"Yes, I love pressure, I need pressure. We had this in Sassuolo as well, coming back in Serie A, to stay in the league and even to fight for Europe was good. I just can’t wait to see the whole team."
