Inter beat Monaco 2-1 in the friendly played at the Stade Louis-II in Montecarlo. It was a tough match that began with the hosts taking an early lead in the second minute through Akliouche. The match then became very tense and there were plenty of chances. However, in the 36th minute, Calhanoglu was sent off for a second yellow card: it was an error on behalf of the referee. Inter, despite being a man down, turned the game around after the break. In the 60th minute, Lautaro scored with a great bit of play, bursting down the middle and beating Hradecky. In the 80th minute, Bonny did it all himself, and made it 2-1.

90' FULL TIME: INTER BEAT MONACO 2-1. The Nerazzurri were down to ten since the 36th minute but Lautaro and Bonny turned it around in the second half to seal the win. 89' Inter close to a third: Pio lays it off to Bonny who touches it round the onrushing keeper but the angle is too tight. He pulls it back to Mkhitaryan who shoots well over the bar. 81' Great save by Di Gennaro to keep our lead intact. 80' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! BONNY MAKES IT 2-1 TO US. What a bit of solo play by our attacker, not dissimilar to Lautaro's goal, taking on the defenders, sitting them down, and then slotting it past Hradecky. Fantastic solo effort! 74' Pio Esposito's strike on the turn flies well over the bar. 68' Brener pokes it towards goal, but Di Gennaro saves. 62' Zakaria hits the post. His effort thumps the upright. 60' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! 1-1! LAUTARO! What great play from the Nerazzurri captain: he is played through and is up against Kehrer. He gets past his man with a clever body feint and shoots. There was a slight deflection on his shot and his effort finds the back of the net. Inter, despite being a man down, are level. 56' Ilenikhena's powerful effort soars over the bar. 56' Great effort by Sucic from the edge of the box, but Hradecky is equal to it. 53' Camara strikes it low, and Sommer reacts twice. 46' The second half begins, no changes from either side. FIRST HALF OVER 47' A very tense first half comes to an end: Monaco 1-0 up and Inter down to ten men. But so many chances and plenty of action on the field of play. 42' Sucic, finds Thuram who is unmarked, but the ball is nicked away from him before he shoots. 41' Ilenikhena's goal is ruled out for offside. 40' Bierith sends it wide from a good position. 38' Massive tension on the pitch, the referee books Kolarov (Chivu's assistant). 36' Down to ten: Calhanoglu sent off. He seems to be tackled by a Monaco player and instead the referee produces a second yellow for our number 20. 30' Sucic tries his luck from the edge of the box, but Hradecky makes a solid flying save. 26' Monaco come close on the counter, but Bierith's effort rolls wide. 22' Camara once again, and like before, Sommer is equal to it and pushes it away. 21' Camara with a great strike, but Sommer flies across to make the save. 15' Inter come so close. Calhanoglu finds Barella with an excellent ball, who then pulls it back to Thuram but his effort is blocked by the defender. From the subsequent corner, Dimarco attempts an audacious volley, but the ball bounces away for a goal kick. 8' Barella again! Set up by Thuram on the edge, but his effort just goes over. Another enormous chance for Inter with Barella missing two opportunities in the space of 60 seconds. 8' Inter so close to an equaliser! Great move forward, Acerbi's cross and Lautaro lays it off: Barella, slightly off balance, sends it over from a good position. 5' Inter react, Lautaro couldn't find the touch from close range. A very high-tempo start. 3' Monaco dangerous once again: Zakaria's effort from the edge of the area just goes over. 2' Monaco score, the hosts are ahead: 1-0 scored by Akliouche who lets fly from outside the box and finds Sommer's top corner. 1' Monaco vs. Inter kicks off: the hosts have the first kick of the ball. **Another special moment for the Monaco fans, with their tribute to Shabani Nonda, former centre-forward of the Monégasque side, who received the appraisal of his old supporters. *Before the kick-off, Monaco are having their official squad presentation: this is their last friendly of preseason with the French league kicking off on 16 August.
