Ter Stegen vs Szczęsny: Hansi Flick confirms Barcelona goalkeeper plans for Inter & Real Madrid fixtures | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this weekend provided a fresh insight into the goalkeeper situation at the club.

This, of course, comes after a change between the posts in Barca’s most recent outing.

En route to the Blaugrana’s 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid on Saturday night, Marc-André ter Stegen was afforded his first starting berth since all the way back in September.

Now fully recovered from his serious knee injury, the German, in turn, is pushing for first-choice duties in Catalunya’s capital once more.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at the Estadio José Zorrilla, the subject of Ter Stegen’s push to replace Wojciech Szczęsny was therefore put to Hansi Flick once more.

Barca’s headmaster, however, was firm in his response:

“Tek will play in the Champions League and against Real Madrid. It’s planned… I’m glad to have Marc back.”
