FLW details the absentees from the midweek clash at Fratton Park.
A midweek encounter has massive impacts at both ends of the Championship table as Portsmouth host Ipswich Town at Fratton Park on Tuesday evening.
Both sides head into this encounter off the back of a victory, with Pompey snatching a last-gasp winner over Middlesbrough through Conor Chaplin, bringing an eight-game winless run to an end and keeping themselves one point above the relegation zone.
Victory on the South Coast would see John Mousinho’s men go over West Brom and four points clear of the dotted line with four games left of the season, so any wins from now will be massive to aid their survival bid.
Meanwhile, the visitors come into this knowing that their automatic promotion hopes are in their own hands, and the Tractor Boys took a giant leap to securing a top two spot by earning a 2-0 victory over Norwich City in the East Anglia derby. It was Ipswich's first victory at Carrow Road for the first time in 20 years, while they ended a 33-year wait to complete the league double over their bitter rivals.
It puts Ipswich two points clear of third-placed Millwall with two games in hand, while a victory would start to create some daylight and see them close in on an immediate return to the Premier League.
There’s so much to play for both sides, and it will prove to be an enthralling encounter to see who can take maximum points.
With this in mind, FLW details the players from both sides that are set to miss out on the meeting at Fratton Park.

Starting off with the hosts, forward Florian Bianchini continues to be hampered by injury trouble.
The Swansea City loanee has been out of action since last November with knee tendonitis, and looks no closer to making a return.
Last month, Pompey boss John Mousinho refused to issue a timeframe for his recovery, so it’s expected that he will miss out against the Tractor Boys.

Portsmouth’s next absentee is Mark Kosznovsky, with the Hungarian continuing to sit on the sidelines.
He sustained a torn ACL and MCL late in their victory over Charlton Athletic at the end of December, with Mousinho confirming the midfielder will now miss the remainder of the season and is expected to be sidelined for around 9-12 months.

Franco Umeh will also miss Portsmouth’s crunch clash with Ipswich.
The winger has had hamstring trouble, recently going under the knife to rectify the problem, and he has now been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Pompey defender Aji Alese is set to be ruled out of the meeting at Fratton Park.
The Sunderland loanee suffered a quad injury on his debut against Preston in early February and is currently back with the Black Cats to complete his rehab.
There is doubt over his involvement for the rest of the season, and he will, therefore, miss the Ipswich clash.

Ebou Adams will be a sore miss for Portsmouth when Ipswich come to town.
The influential midfielder has been impacted by a knee issue, which ruled him out of their victory at Middlesbrough last weekend.
Despite the issue not being too serious, Adams has been pencilled in for a return for next weekend’s mammoth clash against Leicester City, meaning the midweek meeting comes too soon for him.

Full-back Zak Swanson has missed Pompey’s last three league meetings with a knee problem, while he will require surgery in the coming weeks to rectify the problem.
Swanson wasn’t in the squad at all against Middlesbrough, and it will be a surprise to see him feature against Ipswich given such a quick turnaround between games.

Portsmouth’s final absentee is star winger Josh Murphy, who could still have a big part to play in the final run-in.
Murphy, who recorded a joint highest league tally of 14 assists last term, has been out since last December due to a fractured metatarsal, although he has recently made a return to training.
It wasn’t enough to see him come back into the squad against Boro, while similarly to Adams, Murphy could miss out here and be targeted to come back for such a huge clash with Leicester next weekend.

Switching over to the visitors, attacker Wes Burns is set to remain out for Kieran McKenna’s men.
The Welsh international has been out for almost a month with a calf injury, while McKenna said he could make a return this week.
Whether the midweek clash comes too soon remains to be seen, but Ipswich may be more inclined to give him a week on the training pitch and get him ready for Sunday’s meeting with promotion rivals Middlesbrough.

Experienced defender Ashley Young has been on the sidelines since the end of January.
McKenna described it at the time as a ‘significant’ issue, while there has been no timeframe discussed on when he will return.
Therefore, he is set to miss out on Tuesday’s meeting.

Ipswich’s final absentee has been a long-term one in defender Conor Townsend, who hasn’t been able to feature at all this campaign.
The former West Brom man picked up an ACL injury during pre-season, effectively ending his campaign before it had even begun.
