A quintet of first-team players at La Liga giants Barcelona are set to sit out the club’s upcoming meeting with Club Brugge.

This comes owing to respective injury problems.

As per a report from Blaugrana insider Alex Pintanel, all of Marc-André ter Stegen, Gavi, Raphinha, Joan García and Pedri have been ruled out of Wednesday’s trip to Belgium.

Andreas Christensen, on the other hand, could return to the matchday fold, after linking back up with Hansi Flick’s squad in training on Monday morning.

Barcelona will make the trip to Jan Breydel Stadium in two days’ time fresh off a much-needed bounce-back result over the weekend.

After being condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 result in a meeting with arch rivals Real Madrid, Hansi Flick’s troops were facing up to a stretch of three defeats in five across all competitions.
