Football League World rounds up all the players who will miss the Championship clash between Charlton Athletic and Sheffield United.

Charlton Athletic are contending with injury issues as they prepare for Saturday's Championship clash with Sheffield United at The Valley.

Both sides are vying to bounce back from FA Cup third-round defeats against Chelsea and Mansfield Town, respectively.

Nathan Jones's side have not won in the Championship since their 1-0 triumph over Oxford United on 20 December, and are consequently just five points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United are a mere three points above Charlton, despite enjoying consecutive league wins over Stoke City and Leicester City.

Football League World takes a look at the five Addicks players who will miss out on the action when Jones's side take on the Blades in South London this Saturday, starting with the hosts.

The South Yorkshire outfit will head to The Valley with a full-strength squad, as Chris Wilder issued the Yorkshire Post with a positive update on previous absentees, Chiedozie Ogbene and Sydie Peck: "Yes, we're delighted. We've seen it for the last week, and we are delighted he (Peck) is back amongst us. I have said a lot about the young guy. It was a big blow, missing him and Ben (Mee) at that period.

"But we've managed to come through it, and current form is really good. We're a different side to the one that faced Charlton in our first game.

"We've got Chieo back as well, back with us. He'll be involved in the squad, so that's another good bit of news."

Kayne Ramsay

Kayne Ramsay has not featured for Charlton since suffering a calf injury in last month's win over Oxford, and is set to be sidelined once again when his side host Wilder's men.

The right-back was a key man for the Addicks before encountering his fitness setback, making 20 Championship appearances.

Reece Burke

Another defensive absentee for Jones's side against the Blades will be Reece Burke, who was forced off through injury in the 42nd minute of the Valley club's 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers on 4 January.

The former West Ham United player has made 11 Championship appearances this term, scoring one goal in the process, which came in a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday in October.

Matt Godden

Matt Godden is yet to feature for the Addicks this season, courtesy of a persistent knee injury, which is set to keep him out of action this weekend.

The former Coventry City forward was a key man for Charlton last term, notching 19 goals in League One as his side won promotion back to the second tier, but his wait for being available goes on - at the age of 34, time is certainly ticking as to whether or not he's going to fully recover.

Onel Hernandez

Onel Hernandez has made just six Championship appearances for the Addicks since joining as a free agent in September, and that's partly down to injury issues.

The Cuba international has been out of action since Jones's men drew 0-0 with Portsmouth in December, and he's not expected back just yet.

Josh Edwards

Former Dunfermline Athletic defender Josh Edwards has endured a frustrating campaign with Charlton and has not featured since a 3-0 win over Blackburn in September.

Jones told his club's official website back in October that the 25-year-old had undergone a surgical procedure, which has kept the left-wing-back sidelined ever since.
