Al Ahly secured their spot in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by winning the 2023/24 CAF Champions League. As Africa's premier club competition, the Champions League title earned them a direct entry into the tournament.

Al Ahly boast an impressive record in the Club World Cup, having participated in multiple editions. Their best performance came in 2023 when they beat Urawa Red Diamonds to finish in third-place.


How did they perform in the 2024/25 season?

Al Ahly were crowned Egyptian champions for the 45th time, winning the Premier League by two points from Pyramids FC. In the CAF Champions League meanwhile, Al Ahly lost in the semi-finals to fellow Club World Cup participants Mamelodi Sundowns.
