Following the announcement of his signing, Kuhn addressed his new team in an official club statement:“I’m really excited to be here,” he said. “I had a long chat with the coach, and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch, familiarise myself with the stadium and play in front of our fans.

“The decision was easy: the project is ambitious, and I want to be part of it,” Nicolas Kuhn

“The decision was easy: the project is ambitious, and I want to be part of it, doing my best to help the team grow and achieve increasingly important goals. The city is beautiful – a real film set! I’m happy to start this new adventure in such a beautiful place”.

While, Como boss Fabregas said: “Nico is sharp, technical, and understands space really well. He brings creativity and intensity – qualities that fit exactly how we want to play. He’ll give us something different in Serie A.”

During his 18 months under Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, the 25-year-old winger featured in 69 matches, netting 23 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions.

Kuhn secured two Scottish Premiership titles along with a Scottish Cup and a League Cup, while also earning a nomination for PFA Scotland’s Player of the Year, an award that ultimately went to his teammate Daizen Maeda.

He is set to join forces again with former Hoops teammate Alex Valle, who was on loan at Celtic for the first half of last season before transferring to Como in February. Last month, the former Barcelona left-back finalised a permanent contract with the ambitious Serie A club.

Kuhn and Valle may both come up against Celtic in the upcoming Como Cup scheduled for later this month. Rodgers’ men will take on Ajax before either Al Ahli or Como.
