Who will win the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2025/26 season? Mohamed Salah claimed a record-equalling fourth Golden Boot last season, ending Erling Haaland’s grip on the award.

Can anyone outscore that duo? Or will a familiar face finish as the league’s leading scorer?

The favourites to win the 2025/26 Premier League Golden Boot

5. Joao Pedro – Chelsea

Chelsea spent around £60m to bring in Joao Pedro form Brighton this summer and the forward has had an instant impact. He marked his first start with a brace in the Club World Cup semi-finals and added another in the final win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Pedro’s hot streak has continued in pre-season after Chelsea’s post-tournament break, with the number nine role his to lose.

A Golden Boot win would be a significant step for a player whose best top-flight season saw 10 goals scored, but he could flourish in a Chelsea side full of confidence.

4. Alexander Isak – Newcastle United

Alexander Isak became the first Newcastle United player to score 20+ goals in consecutive Premier League seasons last term. The Swedish striker netted 23 times in the Premier League to finish as runner-up to Mohamed Salah for the Golden Boot.

Isak has emerged as one of Europe’s top centre-forwards on Tyneside, but looks unlikely to hit the ground running this season.

The 25-year-old is currently training away from the first-team squad after expressing interest in an exit. Liverpool are pushing to sign Isak in a British record deal.

3. Viktor Gyokeres – Arsenal

Arsenal’s search for a striker is over after the £55m signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.

Gyokeres returns to the Premier League with a point to prove, after failing to make the grade at Brighton before exploding in Europe.

The Swedish striker scored 97 goals in102 games for Sporting over the last two seasons, winning successive Primeira Liga titles and top-scorer awards.

His remarkable record made Gyokeres one of Europe’s most coveted players with Arsenal ultimately winning the race. After three consecutive runners-up finishes, the Gunners will hope Gyokeres’s goals can get them over the line.

2. Mohamed Salah – Liverpool

Mohamed Salah secured a record-equalling fourth Golden Boot last season, matching Thierry Henry’s record. Salah scored 29 goals and added 18 assists in a stunning season, breaking the record for goals and assists in a 38-game Premier League campaign.

The 33-year-old’s performances fired Liverpool to the title and he will be crucial to the champion’s hopes of retaining their crown.

With Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike added to the attacking armoury, the Reds will be a real threat going forward in 2025/26.

1. Erling Haaland – Manchester City

Even during an alleged ‘down season’ for Erling Haaland last term, the Norwegian was still among the league’s leading scorers.

Haaland netted 22 times for Manchester City last season, despite the club’s challenging campaign and an ankle issue that sidelined the striker for more than month.

Haaland has now hit 20+ league goals in three consecutive Premier League seasons, becoming just the fifth player to achieve the feat. He’s frightening goal record makes the 25-year-old the bookies’ favourite for the Golden Boot.
