Inter Milan are interested in Christopher Nkunku, with a move to Bayern Munich now looking unlikely according to reports.
Nkunku is one of of a number of players Chelsea are looking to sell before the end of the window, and his departure will set off a domino effect.
Once Nkunku has left it means Chelsea will be able to press ahead and finally complete a deal with RB Leipzig for Xavi Simons.
It looked like Nkunku was going to join Bayern Munich, and he’d agreed personal terms, but it appears the German giants are only prepared to do a loan deal, whilst Chelsea insist on a permanent departure.
Chelsea are believed to value the France international at £43m, and it’s thought Nkunku could be open to a return to RB Leipzig.

A return to Leipzig would also give the Bundesliga outfit their replacement for Simons, and this deal seemingly makes sense for all parties.
However, despite there being confidence Chelsea and Leipzig could agree a deal, it’s not 100% clear if Nkunku wants to return to his former club.
Leipzig aren’t his only potential destination, and The Guardian have reported Inter Milan are also interested in the forward.
Nkunku has had a difficult time at Chelsea since his £52m move from Leipzig in 2023, with injuries hampering his progress, and he scored just three goals in 27 Premier League appearances last season.
Nkunku isn’t the only forward Chelsea are looking to sell before the end of the window, with Nicolas Jackson also in that category.
Aston Villa are reportedly going to push hard to sign the 24-year-old, who’s also attracting interest from clubs in Italy.

Chelsea would be open to a loan with an obligation, but it’s believed they would want a £10m loan fee for Jackson.
It will be interesting to see what offers come in before the end of the window, and where Jackson will be playing his football next season.
