The Blues were quiet in January, but that’s not expected to be the case in the summer with a number of positions in the squad needing to be addressed.

Chelsea are said to still be in the market for a centre back, whilst they reportedly want to add another midfielder and centre back.

The Blues have paid the price for not signing a replacement for Levi Colwill, who suffered an ACL injury before the start of the season.

Chelsea have been plagued by defensive issues, and have kept just four clean sheets since Liam Rosenior arrived, with just one of those coming in the Premier League.

There’s been suggestions Chelsea are open to targeting players with proven Premier League experience this summer, but until it actually happens fans remain sceptical.

However, The Guardian have reported Chelsea are preparing for a big summer and have shortlisted Murillo, whilst they’ve also been linked with Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke.

The Blues have previously been linked with Murillo, and the Brazilian has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season.
