Spain and Belgium's World Cup quarter-final clash is already in the history books.

Luis de la Fuente's side took the lead on the half-hour mark through Fabián Ruiz but it lasted all of 11 minutes as Charles de Ketelaere put the Red Devils on level terms.

Remarkably, the Atalanta midfielder's header was the first time that La Roja have conceded a World Cup goal since their group stage defeat to Japan in 2022.

The reigning European champions had already broken Switzerland's longstanding record of not shipping goals at the tournament which had stood for 16 years.

But Spain only surpassed their fellow quarter-finalists' feat by 90 minutes with De Ketelaere breaking their resolve after 649 competitive minutes at the finals.

Now that the streak is over, will they be able to hold on?
