Inter have not exactly had the best month in February.

The Nerazzurri have dropped points against all of AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Juventus.

Therefore, Inter have not exactly had the kind of run that would generally lead to winning the Serie A title in dominant fashion.

That is in stark contrast with Inter’s form twelve months ago. This was right around the period where the Nerazzurri were really taking flight in the Serie A table last campaign.

That has led to some pessimism and doubt. And even suggestion that Inter have allowed their level to drop.

However, looking at the results and the table tells a bit of a different story.

Inter Milan Right On Track In Serie A, Champions League & Coppa Italia

At the same time as Inter Milan have hit a shaky patch in Serie A, so have their chief title rivals Napoli.

The Partenopei have failed to win any of their last four matches.

Having made a big statement with wins over Atalanta and Juventus, Napoli drew matches against Roma, Udinese, and Lazio before suffering a surprise defeat against Como.

Therefore, Inter are actually now at the top of the table for the first time this season, heading into Saturday’s head-to-head match against Napoli.

Meanwhile, in the Champions League, Inter will face Feyenoord in the round of sixteen in March.

The Nerazzurri earned a spot in the round of sixteen. Directly with a top eight finish in the “league phase” of the reconfigured competition.

And in the Coppa Italia, Inter are also right on track.

Having bombed out at the round of sixteen last season following two wins in the competition, Inter are on to the semifinals this season.

This week’s quarterfinal win against Lazio sets up a two-legged derby against AC Milan in April.
