Winger Tyrese Spicer was the only player to get the Lions on the board, assisted by Adrian Marin in the 89th minute. That is Spicer’s first postseason goal in Orlando’s only Wild Card game. It’s only his second goal across all competitions.
They are done for the MLS season.

Chicago Fire striker Hugo Cuypers was waiting for Orlando and scored two of the three goals against the Lions. His score in the 57th minute was a solo. The second goal was assisted first by Philip Zinckernagel and a second assist by Jonathan Bamba.
Zinckernagel was also more than prepared to defeat Orlando. He got the second assist on the 58th-minute goal by Brian Gutierrez. The first assist was by Jonathan Dean.
While most of the Lions looked lost or overwhelmed, winger Marco Pasalic did all he could to keep Orlando close. The problem was that Chicago goalkeeper Chris Brady was always closer.
Pasalic delivered a promising shot on target, forcing Brady into an acrobatic diving save shortly after the first Cuypers score.
Yet it is Pasalic who is the source of further negative news for Orlando City during the MLS postseason.
Sky Sport Deutschland reports with confidence that Feyenoord in Rotterdam seriously seeks to add Pasalic to the club. That report found that several other European sides also register Pasalic blips on their scouts’ radar. Clubs named in the report include Bologna, Borussia, and Monchengladbach.
Pasalic created a stir in the front office that resulted in his signing with Orlando City. He never disappoints and has maintained a comprehensive impact on the Lions’ pitch every match.
Feyenoord wants Pasalic to help them maintain their status in Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football. The club was formed in 1908 and has won 16 Dutch football championships since then. They are the only Netherlands club this century to win a European trophy after winning the UEFA Cup in 2002, defeating Borussia Dortmund.
Brace for personnel changes following Orlando City SC's going cold late in the MLS season. But if Marco Pasalic transfers to Europe, the Lions had better get a player on their roster in addition to the transfer fee.
