There is no shortage of AC Milan players in the squads called up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Among the key players representing their teams, many Rossoneri will feature. As federations continue to finalise their official announcements, the definitive list is constantly being updated. Christian Pulisic, who was also in Atlanta during the two friendlies at the end of March against Belgium and Portugal, will certainly represent the United States squad, one of the three host nations. Meanwhile, Mexico, another one of the tournament's co-hosts, has already included Santiago Gimenez in their preliminary World Cup squad. Also among the first 27 players called up by Portugal's head coach, Roberto Martínez, is Rafael Leão, a consistent presence in the Portuguese national team and one of AC Milan's key attackers.
There are also two Rossoneri duos already set to feature with their national teams. Teammates at club level, they will also share the World Cup stage: Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot for France (Rabiot continues to have the faith of head coach Didier Deschamps behind him, despite past criticism from some PSG fans last year during his time at Marseille). The other pairing will feature Koni De Winter and Alexis Saelemaekers for Belgium. Luka Modrić has already played in four World Cups with Croatia: Germany 2006, Russia 2018, where they finished as runners-up, and Qatar 2022, where they secured third place. The upcoming tournament will be his fifth World Cup. Ardon Jashari is expected to represent Switzerland, while Estupiñan is set to feature for Ecuador.
