Joe Cole has claimed he didn’t notice much of a difference between Chelsea under Liam Rosenior compared to Enzo Maresca.
Rosenior took charge of his first game against Charlton in the FA Cup third round on Saturday evening, and things couldn’t have gone much better.
The Blues ran out 5-1 winners, and had five different goal scorers, but a brilliant strike from Jorrel Hato was undoubtedly the goal of the night.
Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez were also on the score sheet as Chelsea’s quality told in the second half.
Rosenior has only taken charge of two training sessions, so it’s understandable there wasn’t a huge difference to how Maresca played.

One of the reasons Rosenior was appointed was because he plays a similar style, and the ownership are believed to be hoping for a smooth transition to playing under the Englishman.
Cole, who was covering the game for TNT Sports, said he didn’t notice much of a difference between the styles of the two managers.
“His personality is different,” he told TNT Sports.
“The style of play, of course, there are going to be similarities.
“They had a different manager three days ago. The style of play was similar, it helped the continuity.”
Whilst Rosenior got off to the perfect start a tough test awaits him against Arsenal in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi final.

The Blues haven’t won a domestic cup since they lifted the FA Cup under Antonio Conte in 2018, and this represents as good a chance as any to end that drought.
Chelsea will be without the suspended Moises Caicedo, but Rosenior will hope to be have Cole Palmer, Reece James and Malo Gusto available after the trio missed the Charlton game.
