Celtic FC Foundation simply would not be able to carry out the vital work we do without the continued backing of supporters across the world.
Among them is an inspiring group of Celtic fans known as The WanderBhoys, who have taken on challenges across the globe in support of the Foundation.
In February 2019, they scaled the world’s highest walkable mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, raising an incredible £50,000. They have since continued their efforts, including trekking through the Andes Mountains to Machu Picchu in Peru in 2023.
Through these incredible adventures and thanks to their remarkable commitment and generosity, The WanderBhoys raised a wonderful total of over £72,000 for Celtic FC Foundation.
Today, a batch of their latest recruits will leave Glasgow and London on their way to trek the Great Wall of China, as the Foundation, are once again, being very generously selected as the beneficiary of their fundraising efforts.

One of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, the Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure ever built at 21,196 kilometres long, offering a unique challenge which is physically demanding but also offers fabulous, never-ending scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich culture and history.
The WanderBhoys will once again be led by Scottish actor Frank Gilhooley. Speaking ahead of the Trek, Frank said: “Having organised the Kilimanjaro trek and a few years later the Machu Picchu trek for Celtic FC Foundation, it’s really exciting to be setting off for Beijing and another incredible adventure with like-minded fans.
"On this trip we will be doing our best to represent the wider Celtic family, trekking six days across the Great Wall Of China, raising not just essential funds to allow the Foundation to continue their incredible work, but also to raise awareness of important issues like mental health and poverty, while reminding those who feel forgotten, that they are not … they are loved. Trust me… together we really can make a difference.”
