Pedro Neto says he wants to dedicate playing in the final of the Club World Cup to his close friend Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.
Both were killed in a car crash in Spain and speaking after Chelsea beat Fluminense 2-0 in the semi-final, Neto opened up on what has been a difficult few days for him following the death of his international team-mate Jota.
“It’s been really difficult in the last few days and I just want to leave a message that this final is for him and his brother,” he said.
“It’s a really tough time for me, difficult to speak about it and I hope I can do it for him. But I want to dedicate this final to him and his family and show my support in these difficult times for them.”

Chelsea will play against either Real Madrid or PSG in the final and have a brilliant full debut from Joao Pedro to thank for reaching this stage, who scored both goals in the win over Fluminense.
On his new team-mate, Neto said: “He’s a player that can give a lot to the team, like you saw today. And we are really happy to have him with us.”
Chelsea lifted the Conference League trophy last season and Neto says winning more silverware would be huge for his young side: “Really happy, really happy to reach the final and to get there is unbelievable. We are ready to win the final, play the final and we are determined to win it.
“I think the results speak for themselves and show how hard we’ve been working, we’ve been doing good things, working really hard, we’ve improved a lot and we all think there is more to come from this team.
“It would be unbelievable (to win), a dream come true and I’m really, really looking forward to playing this final and hopefully winning it on Sunday.”
