The Premier League confirmed Thomas Bramall will take charge of Leeds United v Burnley at Elland Road on Friday evening.
Leeds’ focus is now on survival after Sunday’s 1-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea. They sit six points clear of 18th-placed Tottenham Hotspur with four games remaining.
Burnley, Friday’s visitors, had relegation confirmed following a 1-0 home loss to Manchester City last week. They have joined Wolves in dropping to the Championship after beating Leeds 2-0 in October.
Bramall will be assisted by Constantine Hatzidakis and Craig Taylor, with Adam Herczeg the fourth official and Tim Wood on VAR.
He has refereed 20 Premier League matches this season, averaging 21.6 fouls and four yellow cards per game. Friday will be his fourth involvement in a top-flight Leeds fixture.
Last month he oversaw Leeds’ 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace and sent off Gabriel Gudmundsson in first-half added time for two bookings. The second caution followed a foul on Ismaila Sarr near halfway, after which Bramall produced a red card.
Leeds played the whole second half with 10 men and held on for a point, with Daniel Farke later calling the decision plainly wrong. At the end of last month the Key Match Incidents panel ruled the second yellow should not have been issued, citing minimal contact.
