Thomas Meunier and Lassine Sinayoko tormented defences to headline the Ligue 1 matchday 33 team of the week. Lille's 1-0 win at Monaco restored third place and a direct Champions League berth, while Toulouse and Lens also supplied two picks.
According to L'Équipe, Meunier was pivotal at Louis-II, involved as Denis Zakaria scored an own goal and shutting down Adingra and Golovine. Centre-back Aïssa Mandi also impressed.
Lyon lost their way at Toulouse, beaten 2-1 as wasteful finishing met supercharged home displays. On the left, Dayann Methalie and Yann Gboho troubled Ainsley Maitland-Niles in Carles Martinez Novell's Stadium farewell.
At Bollaert on Friday, Lens edged Nantes 1-0, the visitors already condemned to Ligue 2. Ismaëlo Ganiou, 21, marshalled calmly, while Andrija Bulatovic patrolled in front with bite and precision.
For Lorient, late bloomer Noah Cadiou, who reached Ligue 1 at 27, capped a 4-0 dismantling of Metz in the final seconds. The Bretons controlled the contest throughout.
Auxerre seized their chance against Nice, turning a deficit after a ninth-minute opener into a 2-1 win. Sinayoko's persistence and power lifted Christophe Pelissier's side. Pelissier heads the XI.
Up front, Estéban Lepaul continued a season, now on 20 goals, shaping Rennes' 2-1 win over Paris FC. His movement and penalty-box craft evoked a classic number nine.
Two newcomers impressed, Renato Marin and Raphaël Le Guen. Marin's calm casts doubt on his number three status at Paris Saint-Germain and he could earn more trust, while the 19-year-old Brest defender looked robust and assured.
