There are three all Premier League ties in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup with tough tests for Arsenal, Manchester City and Newcastle.
It is another home tie Newcastle who take on Fulham as they look to defend their League Cup title this season, while Arsenal face London rivals Crystal Palace at the Emirates.
Chelsea face a trip to Wales where they will face Cardiff at the Principality Stadium and finally Manchester City take on an in-form Brentford side.
All ties will take place in the week beginning the 15th December.
Newcastle saw off Tottenham 2-0 at St James’ Park to book their spot in the quarter-final. Goals from Nick Woltemade and Fabian Schar were the difference between the sides Arsenal also won by the same score line, this time against Brighton thanks to goals from Ethan Nwaneri and Bukayo Saka at the Emirates.
Manchester City survived an early scare away against Swansea City when Goncalo Franco opened the scoring. Goals from Rayan Cherki, Omar Marmoush and Jeremy Doku made sure there was not an upset on the cards.
Crystal Palace eased past a Liverpool side that made ten changes from their previous result, a 3-2 loss to Brentford in the Premier League. The Eagles ran out 3-0 winners at Anfield.
Chelsea looked to be cruising to an easy win over Wolves when they went 3-0 up before half-time, but a late fight-back from the Midlands side and a red card for Liam Delap made the match much tougher than it needed to be for the Blues.
Fulham edged past Wycombe Wanderers on penalties, Cardiff beat Welsh rivals Wrexham 2-1 and Brentford thrashed Grimsby 5-0 in the other fourth round ties.
