Reports in Italy have already begun to recommend new coaches to replace Thiago Motta at Juventus, as the current Bianconeri head coach is at risk of losing his job, even if he achieves Champions League qualification following a 0-4 humbling at home against Atalanta on Sunday night.
The Old Lady suffered their worst home defeat since the 1960s on Sunday evening, losing by a four-goal margin for just the third time in the 21st century as Mateo Retegui, Marten De Roon, Davide Zappacosta and Ademola Lookman sealed a memorable victory for Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium.
While Juventus are not expected to take immediate action regarding their head coach position, Monday’s reports claim that Thiago Motta is at risk of losing his job, even if the team qualifies for next season’s Champions League.
The Bianconeri are currently out of this season’s Champions League, the Coppa Italia and were beaten by Milan in the semi-final of the Supercoppa Italiana, which leaves top four as the only thing left to play for this term.
Even though Juventus are not expected to cut ties with Motta immediately, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that ‘anything can happen’.
The Pink Paper claims that there are three names who will become more and more linked with a move to Juve in the coming weeks, including the mastermind behind Sunday’s humiliation: Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini.

The Atalanta coach was a Juventus player during his youth days, and is currently one of the most experienced coaches in Serie A and has said himself that he is not planning on renewing his current contract, which expires in the summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport predicts that Antonio Conte will also be linked with a return to Juventus as his long-term future with Napoli is not guaranteed, even if the Partenopei win the Serie A title this season.

Monday’s report claims that Roberto De Zerbi will be another name linked with a potential job at Juventus in the coming weeks, particularly if he continues to impress with Marseille in Ligue 1.
