Games keep coming thick and fast for Carlo Ancelotti and his Real Madrid players, as Los Blancos are set to travel to Barcelona to face Espanyol on Saturday evening.
Ancelotti published his matchday squad for the clash this afternoon and there are six total changes from the team which faced Brest on Wednesday evening.
The biggest change is the return of Vinícius Jr., who missed the final league-phase clash against Brest due to suspension through accumulating his third yellow card against RB Salzburg.
The other players returning are Jesus Vallejo, who hasn’t had any action for Real Madrid since back in September, and Lorenzo Aguado, who has made a handful of cameos off the bench.
The players who have missed out are academy stars Jacobo Ramón, Pol Fortuny and Gonzalo García, none of whom had any minutes against Brest.
A win for Real Madrid this weekend will keep their cushion at the top of the table and prevent Atlético Madrid from making any ground on them regardless of their result against Mallorca.
