Tite names Arrascaeta and Pedro among the best he has coached | OneFootball

Tite, Brazil coach from 2016 to 2022, has named Flamengo duo Arrascaeta and Pedro among the finest he has coached, mentioning them alongside Ronaldo Fenômeno and Ronaldinho Gaúcho.

"What I can say, and this I can, is that during the period he, Neymar, worked with me, and among the other athletes who worked at all the clubs I passed through... I had Ronaldo Fenômeno, it was the final stage of his professional career." He was speaking to GE.

Hired by Flamengo at the end of 2023 to replace Jorge Sampaoli, Tite left in September 2024. With Arrascaeta and Pedro he won the Campeonato Carioca. His spell unraveled after the number nine suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out for almost a year.

Arrascaeta is recovering from a fractured clavicle. Pedro is Flamengo’s main hope for goals on Sunday 10 against Grêmio in Porto Alegre in the Brasileirão. Kick-off is at 19:30 Brasília time.
