Toronto announced the signing of Josh Sargent. The 26-year-old moves for a fee in excess of €20m, the third highest in MLS history.
He leaves Championship side Norwich City after scoring 7 goals in 23 league matches this season. He previously played for Werder Bremen between 2018 and 2021.
He joins as a Designated Player and has signed a contract running until the end of the 2030-2031 MLS season.
Elsewhere in the league, Orlando still hope to bring in Antoine Griezmann.
From his first talks with Toronto, the ambition to build a competitive, winning team most appealed to him, and he is eager to get started and play in front of supporters at BMO Field. He has 29 caps and 5 goals for the United States.
