In a recent report, TuttoJuve revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a keen eye on Olympique Lyonnais forward Georges Mikautadze. It has been stated that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the Georgian striker to North London this summer.
Mikautadze enjoyed a decent run of form at the French club in the previous campaign after he produced a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Georgia international banged in 17 goals and picked up 11 assists in 47 matches for Lyon last season across all fronts.
The 24-year-old led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 3.23 shots per 90 minutes in the Ligue 1. He also kept 42.3% of his attempts on target. Mikautadze even distributed possession well based on his pass success rate of 76.5% in the top tier of French football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the French club will expire in the summer of 2028. Therefore, Spurs would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting the Georgian forward this off-season.

Mikautadze excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Georgian talent deserves credit for scoring and creating a handful of goals for his team. Mikautadze is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a left-winger if told to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if Spurs manage to bring him on board this summer.
We can expect Mikautadze to add more firepower to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.
At 24, Mikautadze has his best years ahead of him. Therefore, the North London club would be wise to move in for him in this summer transfer period as long as they can get him for a reasonable fee.
