In a recent report, Foot Mercato claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to rival Aston Villa in the race to sign the Senegalese talent this off-season.
Mbaye managed to catch the eye at times for PSG in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 18-year-old scored three goals and earned two assists in 24 appearances in the league for the French club last season in all competitions.
The Senegalese teenager is currently among the best young wingers in Ligue 1. Hence, Spurs would do well to get a deal done for Mbaye this summer.
His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Mbaye can engineer some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball as well.
The Senegalese sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team from the wide areas. Mbaye is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to land him this summer.
We can expect Mbaye to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.
At 18, Mbaye has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the long run, so Spurs would be wise to move in for him before the end of this transfer window.
