In a recent report, Africa Foot mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are set to rival Benfica for Feyenoord ace Anis Hadj Moussa. It has been stated that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the Algerian wide player to North London in this summer transfer window.
Moussa enjoyed an impressive season at the Dutch club as he was responsible for putting in a string of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 23-year-old scored 11 times and earned six assists in 44 matches for Feyenoord in the previous campaign across various competitions.
The Paris-born talent did well to average 2.42 shots per 90 minutes in the Dutch Eredivisie. He kept 37.7% of his attempts on target. Moussa has to figure out a way to improve his link-up play in the final third, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 67.9% in the top tier of Dutch football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Feyenoord will run out in the summer of 2029. Thus, it won’t be easy for Spurs to get a deal over the line for him on the cheap.

Moussa is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The Algerian talent added a handful of goals and assists to his game last season. Moussa is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player if required. However, he would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League if Tottenham manage to bring him on board this off-season.
We can expect Moussa to bring more firepower to Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.
At 23, Moussa has his peak years ahead of him which makes him a wise choice for Spurs to consider in this summer transfer period. With all things considered, Frank should focus on snapping the Algerian sensation up ahead of the new campaign.
