Tottenham Hotspur have indicated their willingness to meet Bournemouth’s asking price for Illia Zabarnyi.
However, the defender is only keen to join Paris Saint-Germain at the moment, according to RMC Sport.
Zabarnyi has rapidly established himself as one of the Premier League’s best defenders and is set for a big move away from the Vitality Stadium this summer.
Spurs have been huge fans of Zabarnyi since he arrived in English football and view him as an ideal long-term partner for Micky van de Ven.
He could be a possible successor for Cristian Romero, whose future remains uncertain amid links with Atletico Madrid.
While the Lilywhites are willing to shatter their transfer record to sign Zabarnyi, he has reportedly not engaged in talks with Spurs, showing a clear preference for PSG.
PSG have been working on a deal to sign Zabarnyi since early June and have had multiple offers rejected as Bournemouth hold out for €70 million.
Zabarnyi is believed to have agreed personal terms with the European champions and is now waiting for them to reach an agreement as the clubs remain in talks.
The 22-year-old was a second-half substitute in Bournemouth’s 3-0 friendly victory over Everton on Saturday as the speculation over his future continued.
If Zabarnyi end up getting his preferred move to the French capital, he could make his official debut in next month’s UEFA Super Cup final between PSG and Tottenham.
