In a recent report, talkSPORT revealed that Tottenham Hotspur were showing interest in Manchester City winger Jack Grealish this summer. It has been mentioned that Spurs would now face competition from Everton and other clubs from Europe and Saudi Arabia in the race to land the England international this off-season.
Grealish struggled to earn a regular first-team spot in Pep Guardiola’s first XI in the previous campaign. The Birmingham-born talent played in 32 matches for Man City last season, scoring three times and earning five assists across all competitions.
The 29-year-old caught the eye at times on the left flank based on his average of 1.87 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 33.3% of his attempts on target. Grealish was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third, based on his pass success rate of 87.6% in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Mancunian club will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, Spurs would have to make a big offer if they are serious about recruiting Grealish in this transfer window.

Grealish is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can be a hard man to dispossess when he is running at full swing in and around the opponent’s penalty area. However, he has struggled to find the cutting edge in the final third.
The English talent can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates up top. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also play as an attacking midfielder if asked to do so.
We can expect Grealish to bring more firepower to Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s frontline. He would have a better chance of securing regular first-team football at the North London club.
At 29, Grealish is still playing in his prime and would help Spurs compete across all fronts in the coming years. With all things considered, Frank would be wise to move in for Grealish before the end of this summer transfer window.
