Tottenham are reportedly leading the race to seal the transfer of Vasco da Gama wonderkid Rayan in a potential battle with other Premier League clubs.

Rayan to Spurs looks increasingly like a story to watch in the coming weeks and months, with a January move possible for the talented 19-year-old.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are also mentioned as the three other main contenders to sign Rayan, but Tottenham look to be in a strong position.

That’s good news for fans of the north London giants, who will no doubt be hoping to see new manager Thomas Frank backed with more transfer funds in January.

Even if for now the focus for many Spurs supporters will be how to buy Monaco vs Tottenham tickets, many fans will also be keeping an eye on transfer rumours and possible movers in January.

Tottenham to seal Rayan transfer in January?

We often see players from the Brazilian league moving in the middle of the European season, so Rayan could do well to take up this opportunity to join Spurs.

THFC need a bit more depth in attack, and someone like Rayan will surely benefit from a move like this that could get him regular playing time in the Premier League in a World Cup year.

For now, Rayan will surely be an outsider to make Brazil’s World Cup squad, but if he earns a big move and can shine in a more competitive league, then that could make a big difference to his chances.

Tottenham should back Thomas Frank with more signings

Frank has made a great start as Tottenham manager, and he’s surely earned more backing in the next transfer window.

Signings like Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons have started well for the club, so it will be interesting to see who they can bring in next to further advance their bid to finish in the top four.
