Spurs's home comforts are everyone else's day out

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium should be a fortress, a gleaming, glass-and-steel monument to modern footballing intimidation. But right now it feels more like a luxury spa for visiting teams.

Opponents don't turn up dreading it. They turn up enjoying it. It's football's version of checking into a five-star hotel. You get pampered, you play your game and more often than not, you leave with something to show for it.

The old White Hart Lane carried an edge. It snarled. And could make opposition players shrink. But the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium? It's magnificent, yes, but it's missing menace.

That's seen in Spurs' home record of late.

In the last year, Spurs have the fewest points (13), fewest wins (3) and most defeats (12) at home than any other ever-present side and have kept just three clean sheets in last 39 Premier League games at home.

Manchester United look in a good place to add to the misery in north London.

Visitors developing into a must-watch side

United are box office again. Not in the relentless, ruthless, title-challenging way of Sir Alex Ferguson's juggernaut but in the sense that you simply can't take your eyes off them. When a Manchester United match comes around now, they are a must-watch.

They do make life as a predictor of outcomes in football matches very tough as every match feels like a coin toss between brilliance and bedlam. For the neutrals like us, it's intoxicating and enthralling. For Ruben Amorim and the fanbase, it must be exhausting.

Let's get this straight, United aren't ready to challenge for honours yet. A quick look at the Betfair Exchange tells us they are fifth favourites for the Premier League title at 44.0 and 3.4 for a top four finish. Both prices are obviously very unappealing.

United have a front line that frightens - back them for goals

They are a team built for moments, not for consistency. But my word, what moments they can create.

United's attack, when it clicks, is barnstorming. Credit to them for signing Premier League ready options in the summer. Mathues Cunha's relentless power gives them verticality and bite whilst Bryan Mbeumo, flanked by Amad Diallo, are as dangerous a duo down the right flank as you'll find in the Premier League.

And then there's Bruno Fernandes, United's conductor, still capable of splitting a defence with a single pass and driving his team on from central areas.

United rank third for expected goals (17.8) this season according to Opta and only Liverpool have registered more shots (153) whilst no team have had more shots on target (54). United want chaos by breaking lines, committing men forward and they do it all with a level of abandon that makes their games feel like you are watching on fast-forward.

United's last nine games across all competitions have averaged 3.78 goals per 90, something backed up by the underlying numbers which are coming in at 3.7 goals per 90. In seven of those nine matches United have managed to score two or more goals - that's a 78 per cent hit rate.

With United being such a highlights-reel team, the smartest way to back them in these types of fixtures is to take the result out of the equation - they can't be trusted yet - despite how temping the 1.9 on the Betfair Exchange is for them on the draw no bet market.

Where the value lies is in their team total goals line where we can get [Evens] on them clearing the over 1.5 goals line for the eighth time in their last 10 matches.
