According to L'Équipe, Toulouse and Le Mans are exploring a move for Ibrahim Cissé, who is out of contract at Ferencvaros this summer. The 30-year-old centre-back could return to France after three seasons in Hungary.

A Tours academy product, Cissé has 157 Ligue 2 appearances and is regarded as a quick, aggressive defender, hitting speeds close to 36 km/h. His development at Ferencvaros has drawn interest from several Ligue 1 executives.

He won the Hungarian title in 2024 and played in Europe in three straight seasons with Ferencvaros. The first came in the Europa Conference League, followed by two in the Europa League.

His experience could suit Le Mans, newly promoted to the top flight, or Toulouse. Toulouse expect to lose Charlie Cresswell, who is highly sought after, and might also lose Mark McKenzie, who is at the 2026 World Cup with the United States.

Clubs outside France are also tracking the situation. In Türkiye, Kasimpasa and Göztepe have already made an offer.

Cissé previously featured for Caen from 2021 to 2023 and for Angers from 2018 to 2021.
