Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Trabzonspor over Andre Onana’s loan move to Turkey for the rest of the season.
The Red Devils signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day, which means they have four first-team goalkeepers in the squad.
Onana has not started in the Premier League yet, with manager Ruben Amorim featuring Altay Bayindir between the sticks for the first three matches.
Amorim brought in the Cameroon international for the Carabao Cup game against Grimsby Town, but his mistakes cost United two goals and he did little to help his team in a penalty shootout defeat.
Reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano reports Onana is set for a move to Turkey after Man Utd and Trabzonspor reached an agreement over a loan deal.
Everything now depends on the 29-year-old, who could approve or reject the move.
The Turkish transfer window will be open until September 12, so there is still plenty of time to complete the deal.
Onana came to United with a big reputation after strong showings at Ajax and Inter Milan.
But he has failed to replicate his form in England, with the Cameroonian guilty of making many high-profile mistakes during his last two seasons at Old Trafford.
He made five errors leading to goals as United finished 15th in the Premier League last season.
The Manchester giants did not actively seek to offload Onana during the summer transfer window, but they have changed their stance after signing Lammens.
