FC Bayern appear to be on the verge of completing their first major transfer of the summer. According to media reports, the Munich club are on the home straight with Ismael Saibari, with only the final details between the record champions and PSV Eindhoven still to be clarified
FC Bayern’s squad planning is taking on an increasingly concrete form. While the Munich club has examined numerous options in recent weeks, the first major summer transfer could soon be officially announced
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Ismael Saibari’s move to the German record champions is imminent, with only minor details regarding the transfer modalities still to be clarified between Bayern and PSV Eindhoven
The Munich club have reportedly already been in full agreement with the player himself for several days and Saibari is set to receive a long-term contract in Munich until 2031
The Dutch newspaper Eindhovens Dagblad also reports that further talks between the two clubs are to take place today, Monday, and that the deal could be finalized shortly afterwards
According to current information, the transfer fee is expected to be between 50 and 60 million euros
Vincent Kompany apparently played a central role in the potential transfer, with the Bayern coach said to have been one of the biggest internal supporters of signing the Moroccan international
According to sources close to the club, a personal conversation between Kompany and Saibari in particular was decisive in the 25-year-old’s decision to join FC Bayern
Although Saibari was born in Terrassa, Spain, he spent part of his youth in Belgium and was trained at Kompany’s home club RSC Anderlecht, among others
The close connection between the two was already evident during the Champions League clash between Bayern and PSV Eindhoven at the end of January, with Kompany and Saibari embracing for a long time after the game and having an intense exchange
At the time, the attacking player denied speculation about transfer talks: „He congratulated me on my performance, actually our team. He said that we had to continue like this,“ Saibari told Ziggo Sport at the time

In addition to Saibari, Bayern are also pressing ahead with the signing of Nathaniel Brown. The DFB star has also already given the Munich club a transfer commitment for the summer
Most importantly, his current employers Eintracht Frankfurt will not put any obstacles in the way of the 22-year-old if they receive a transfer fee in the region of 50 to 60 million euros
Talks are already underway at club level, with Bayern hoping to finalize the deal before the start of the World Cup.
